The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times are awarded Pulitzer Prizes for their coverage President Donald Trump.

The Journal won its Pulitzer for its own investigations of money payments orchestrated by the president’s previous lawyer, Michael Cohen, to silence girls who claimed to have had affairs.

On Monday, the biography trophy went to Jeffrey C. Stewart’s”The New Negro: The Life of Alain Locke,” along with the play award to”Fairview,” by Jackie Sibblies Drury. The poetry award was given to Forrest Gander’s elegiac”Be Together.”

Franklin, who died , would be the first girl looking out to get an honorary Pulitzer, that has been awarded to Bob Dylan and John Coltrane.

The journalism awards may recognize exceptional work in 2018 by U.S. newspapers, magazines and internet outlets. There are 14 categories such as animations, photos, criticism, comment and reporting.

Arts prizes are awarded in seven categories, including fiction, drama and music.

The first journalism prizes were awarded in 1917, and they have begun to be considered the area’s most prestigious honor in the U.S.

The competition was established by newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer.

A gold trophy is received by winners of this service award. Another awards take a prize of $15,000 each.
