Homeless activists outside Notre Dame Need’a roof too’

Dozens of public housing advocates protested outside the Notre Dame in Paris Monday to demand that France be remembered later donors pledged $ 1 billion to rebuild its destroyed roof and the palace.

Around 50 people from a French displaced institution assembled with placards reading”1 billion in 24 hours” Some chanted”Notre Dame needs a roof, we need a roof also!”

Paris police monitored the peaceful protest about the fundamental Paris island where Notre Dame is located but did not intervene, and also the demonstration dispersed after a few hours.

Along with Arnault’s pledge, the other billionaire, Francois Pinault, along with his son pledged 100 million euros to the reconstruction campaign from their holding company Artemis, that owns the Christie’s auction house also would be the main shareholder in Gucci.

Following Easter Mass on Sunday, Paris Archbishop Michel Aupetit said police should”rethink the whole island and earn a spot for the poor.”

He added:”The poor and the displaced are at home here (at Notre Dame)… They can always move and get warm in a church and that they know that they will not be pumped out.”
