I went back and forth yesterday on a list of picks I liked but just couldn’t nail down one that I could recommend. I narrowed it down to 4 but couldn’t spot just 1… good thing since I went 1-3 in those games I didn’t recommend.
Today was tough again but after consideration I nixed the [...]

Back-to-back extra inning losses on Friday and Saturday have continued a terrible June run for BDDs BBBs. An early Sunday internet outage cost me the opportunity to make a pick there and there just wasn’t a game worth taking a flyer on on Monday.
Even though we’re still 12 games over .500, the units figure is [...]

Where did that come from? Rumors of Francisco Liriano’s death have been greatly exaggerated. He didn’t get the win but he did enough to keep the game knotted 1-1 and the Twins took down the Mariners in extra innings… and cost BDDs BBBs a win and 142 units.

John Lackey did his job but Darren Oliver didn’t… and nearly double his ERA in the process. It let Brian Tallet off the hook but the Angels showed some “bouncebackability” in their 6-5 win over the Blue Jays. That win was good enough for a win for BDDs BBBs and +100 units.
Can we make it [...]

The Brewers got us back on the winning track yesterday (although it had little to do with yesterday’s “crack” analysis on my part that we came down on the winning side.)
There were three games that I liked initially but trimmed it down to one. First, I tossed out Tampa Bay (-162) over Kansas City because [...]

Tim Lincecum left with a 5-4 lead but it was the Giants bullpen (not the Nationals) that fell apart and cost BDD’s BBBs its second straight loss. The Nats apparently do have a bright spot in their bullpen in Ron Villone who is now 3-0 and has yet to give up a run. Back to [...]

I just can’t seem to break the win/loss/win/loss cycle that has been plaguing BDDs BBBs recently. Yesterday, the Brewers had a nice early lead but coughed it up and fell to the Marlins costing BDDs BBBs 100 units. Time to get that back today:

Yovani Gallardo didn’t out-hit Micah Owings but he did out-pitch him. Neither got through the sixth but the damage was already done and the Brewers bullpen continued to be lights out. The Brewers rolled to a 5-2 win over the Reds and the 50th win of the season for BDDs BBBs.

Milwaukee Brewers (+104) over [...]

On Friday, the Giants handled the Cardinals and gave BDDs BBBs win #49 on the season.
The 4-2 win by San Fran was never really in doubt thanks to Joel Pineiro’s poor start and the Giants quality pitching throughout. With another day off on Saturday (blog prep, sorry!), the objective is to stay on the winning [...]

Wednesday was such a devastating loss, I couldn’t bring myself to pick yesterday’s small slate of games.
Roy Halladay did his part with a 7 inning, 3 run outing and left with a healthy lead. The Orioles came back in the 8th and 9th to tie it. The Blue Jays took another lead in extra innings [...]
