Jair Jurrjens appears to be fully back, and Florida hasn’t been crushing the ball this season.

Both Mike Leake (@HOU) and Wade LeBlanc (@PIT) are probably safe plays, though the strikeout potential is limited in each case.

Position Players:

ss Cliff Pennington – for a shortstop, he’s a great play, and he’s fast facing a battery which isn’t good at stopping steals.

of Andres Torres – in Arizona against Ian Kennedy

1b Ike Davis – another nice matchup for a quality hitter.

of Coco Crisp – even faster than Pennington, vs. same battery.

of/DH/future White Sock? Luke Scott – Scott Baker has been erratic at best this season, and Luke’s always had the force to give a fantasy team some new hope.

of Tyler Colvin – another hot day at Wrigley with a bad starter for the Cardinals.

ss Starlin Castro – if he’s still available.

of Seth Smith – I’m going to guess that Dexter Fowler gets a day off, and Smith gets a chance to feast on Kyle Kendrick today. It’s just a guess, though. Almost any Rox hitter would be nice to have today, though.

2b Jonathan Herrera – he will play, and Kendrick is bad.

1b Lyle Overbay – great matchup against Rick Porcello today.

c Kurt Suzuki – a fallback play if you have nobody better, he’s not bad.

Mat Latos has the 2nd-best matchup of the day. If he’s available for some reason, add him.

Vin Mazzaro has been pitching over his talent level, but he has a good arm, and being at home in Oakland against the ugly offense of the White Sox makes for a good play.

ss Starlin Castro – Yeah, I know that stats can be thrown in the trash when Cubs and Cards meet, but it’s Jeff Suppan. Oh, and Starlin is white hot.

of Drew Stubbs – must have been touted on ESPN.com this week, as his ownership % is starting to resemble the level of production he’s provided. “At Bud Norris” are fine words for any hitter to see on the pitching marquee.

1b Gaby Sanchez – hitting .303 – 10 – 43 with 44 runs and 4 SB on the season. Got a late start, too.

1b Ike Davis – less batting average skill than Gaby, but notionally more pop.

ss/2b/3b Jeff Keppinger against soft-tossing Travis Wood. Ignore that silly low ERA by Wood, his peripherals aren’t anything special, and Keppy can whomp the lefty.

ss/2b Cristian Guzman – vs. Chris Narveson

ss/2b/3b Felipe Lopez – Filler if you need a position filled today – day game in Wrigley, Randy Wells is good, but nothing special.

Starting Pitchers:

Vicente Padilla – has been devastating since coming to the Dodgers in 2009. Mets bats have only been devastating their chances of winning lately.
