With Junichi Tazawa debuting yesterday against the Yankees, I figured it’s time we see what he can do. Below are the flight paths for his debut, click on them to make them larger.

His fastball is straight, his slider move more down than side-to-side (sort of like a slurve, but Japaneese style), and his curveball is good. In fact, his curveball is more than good, it’s great. I really like what Tazawa brings to the table, and he should be a staple in the Sox bullpen for the next few seasons.
