Roto Lunch – August 4

Starting Pitchers:
- Get this, there’s a top-10 ERA qualifying pitcher with a 1.07 WHIP who’s available in 65% of ESPN leagues! How can that be, you ask? Well, it’s Joel Pineiro. If you ever wondered about the magic of Dave Duncan, wonder no more. The Mets are hobbled, so he should be a good start today, though he won’t strike many out, and probably won’t win against Johan.
- Ryan Rowland-Smith, against KC. Trust us on this one.
- We like Jose Contreras, and the Angels are missing a couple bats, but we’re going to suggest staying away – the Angels lefties have been putting up some runs, and the Contreras/AJ combo is arguably MLB’s worst at stopping the running game, though Chris Young may dispute it.
Batters:
- dh Travis Hafner
- c A.J. Pierzynski
- of Andrew McCutchen
- ss/2b Clint Barmes
- ss/3b Gordon Beckham
- c Kurt Suzuki
- c John Baker
- of Cody Ross
- 1b Nick Johnson
