Roto Lunch – August 3

Starting Pitchers:
- Randy Wells at Cincinnati. Don’t worry about the stadium. Rolen may have a history of Cub-bashing, but he and Votto can only do so much. And besides, Rolen is Day-to-day.
- Kenshin Kawakami @ San Deigo.
- Brett Anderson at home against Texas. This just in: Texas can’t hit this year. No good explanation for it, but with Kinsler out, it’s going to be even worse. And Anderson is good.
Hitters:
- of Josh Willingham – why is this guy still available in 80% of leagues, anyway?
- c Miguel Montero – ditto, and a good platoon matchup today.
- 3b Scott Rolen is day-to-day, but if he plays, should be okay.
- of Lastings Milledge doesn’t have an ideal matchup, but Mock is sufficiently unproven, and the Nats pen suffiently bad, that he’s a good play anyway.
- of Kosuke Fukudome – in Cincy against righty Harang.
- of Garrett Jones. I promised myself I wouldn’t ever recommend him, but here he is. It took a crappy RHP and a very short slate of games.
- ss Cristian Guzman – nothing great going on here, but it’s a short slate, and he’s a .300 hitter.
- c Kurt Suzuki – Dustin Nippert… woo hoo!
- 2b Alberto Callaspo.
