Quick run down of trades made in the last hour:

•  Marlins acquire Nick Johnson for double A lefty Aaron Thompson, with the Nats paying Johnson’s remaining salary.

• The Yankees acquired Jerry Hairston Jr. from the Reds.  Reports are suggesting that the Reds will receive Austin Jackson in return.

• LaRoche has been traded to the Braves for Casey Kotchman

• The Rockies acquired lefty reliever Joe Beimel from the Nationals for two minor leaguers.

• The Reds acquired third baseman Scott Rolen for Edwin Encarnacion and a minor leaguer.  Rolen has approved the deal so the trade is complete
