Sim League Openings

As mentioned, several people had inquired about posting “league openings” messages on the site. I don’t want to make this a regular feature, but from time to time, I’ll post openings if I get enough requests from the community.
So, here’s a few to get things started:
1) USBA, Strat, 20 team salary capped league which also uses Minor League players. There is currently 1 opening team available is Margueritaville, website: http://usba1.tripod.com/ Contact Steve O’Hare at atlboschuck19@aol.com
2) The O.Z. APBA Baseball League, in its 28th year, is always looking for manager to join us from New York or other areas of the East Coast. We play a 162 game schedule from February to September.
Contact Dom: NYAPBA@yahoo.com for additional information.
3) Dugout Baseball League (DBL), 20 team Strat-O-Matic keeper league, has immediate opening for a manager. DBL plays 162 games from April to September using current card set. Each team has 36 players that can include up to 3 minor leaguers, with annual draft in March each year.
Net play encouraged but optional during regular season. Team with opening has M.Tejeda, N.Blackburn, Colby Rasmus, Brandon Phillips, Nick Johnson, Casey Blake, G.Floyd, J.Cantu.
If interested, contact Mike Murphy at the.murfs@mindspring.com. Will send copy of Constitution to those who express serious interest. Early responders given preference to take over the available franchise.
4) The Invitational Metropolitan Baseball Association is looking for 1-2 managers. The league is face-to-face, with managers living in NYC, Long Island and several in NJ who are close to the City. To accommodate managers’ travel and scheduling needs, we often arrange StratFests, at which most managers gather at one manager’s home and play 8-16 games in the course of one day.
The league has been in existence for almost 20 years and currently consists of 18 teams. We play in accordance with most Strat rules, but have added refinements through the years. The season is set at 108 games, and players are limited to 2/3 of their actual IP or PA, except for hitters recording 450 PA or more, who are available for unlimited use. Rosters are set at 45, with 25 on the active roster.
The most unique aspect of the league is that we are able to draft anyone, high school, college or minor league players, provided we have enough innings and plate appearances among major league players to make it through the season. Trades can involve any player on a team’s roster as well as draft picks for the following two seasons.
