Baseball’s Best Bets (June 3, 2009)

Tim Lincecum left with a 5-4 lead but it was the Giants bullpen (not the Nationals) that fell apart and cost BDD’s BBBs its second straight loss. The Nats apparently do have a bright spot in their bullpen in Ron Villone who is now 3-0 and has yet to give up a run. Back to the drawing board!
TODAY’S PICKS
Milwaukee Brewers (-106) over Florida Marlins
THE BET: 100 Units / Win = +100, Loss =-106
Braden Looper has already beaten the Marlins once this year and although Looper isn’t a great road pitcher, he has a solid batting line against current Marlins is .222/.253/.344. On the mound for Florida is Sean West who has two solid starts under his belt but the Brewers should do well against a LHP as they did on Monday. Unfortunately, their bullpen didn’t hold then. I will be betting on a bounce back for the Brewers tonight.
