The streak is over…Patrick Schuster’s bid for his 5th consecutive no hitter came to an end in the third inning of Tuesday’s district tournament game before when he surrendered a double to Gaither High’s Drew Dotey. The national record for consecutive no-hitters by a high school pitcher is six with the last occurrence coming in 1989 when Tom Engle of Fairfield Union High School in Lancaster, Ohio. Before Engle, it was Chris Taranto from Notre Dame High in Biloxi, Mississippi who threw 6 no hitters back in 1961.
