We were all stunned yesterday to hear of the untimely death of our good friend John Brattain. Today we begin the healing process. John’s brother Rob passed along some details about the ceremony to celebrate the life of our colleague.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4183 Old Highway 2, Belleville, Ontario on Saturday April 4 at 2:00 pm. If you wish to send cards and/or flowers, please email me directly at jhamrahi@baseballdailydigest.com, and I’ll provide the address privately.

In addition, Dave Studeman has set up a memorial fund in John’s honor over at The Hardball Times. All proceeds go to John’s wife and two daughters.
