Even when he was talking with someone who had a completely different perspective on an issue than he did, he never got angry, he never got out of line; he treated every single person he dealt with with respect and dignity. My association with John has made me a much better person and I am extremely grateful for having known him and been privy to the mechanisms inside his head. No one had quicker wit than John.
