There are a million things people can say about a-rod between steroids and money and strippers and madonna...but let he who has not sinned cast the first stone. a-rod isn't a monster. he's a baseball player, a phenomenal baseball player. like kris points out, in one way or another, there's always an asterisk. a-rod doesn't deserve how the public treats him. there are violent criminals who rile up less scorn. he deserves the support of fans who have seen him deliver in dozens of big games and go out there hard every single game. looking forward to #27 as well, kris. awesome post.
Reply - Quote

I admire you, oh great obfuscator. You had to go all the way back to the dead ball era and back to make your case and yet I still disagree with you. If you knew Alex the way we in Seattle do, you would admire his pure talent and that's it. You are such a pinstripe apologist though, you feel you must make a case for his legacy. The problem here is, he was a fraud long before he started 'roiding. I believe he is incapable of telling the truth. His final year in Seattle, he kept telling the media, "...it's NOT about the money....it's about winning." Then guess what happened? Mr. Hicks comes along and offers him more money that the Mariners, who had a pretty good team at the time. Alex bolts for Texas just so he could have the bragging rights to the biggest paycheck. This is a pattern with him and I have to say, with all honesty, the Yanks deserve him. Remember the curse of the Bambino? Well there are a lot of people who think there's something to the curse of A-fraud.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3528','seapilot69','I admire you, oh great obfuscator.
