According the Jon Heyman of SI.com, pitcher Jon Garland and the Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed on a one-year contract with a mutual option for year two.

SI.com is reporting that the first year of the deal will pay $6.25 million, but a buyout of the second year makes the first year a guaranteed $7 million.

The mutual option, meaning both sides have to agree before it takes effect, is believed to be worth $10 million.

Garland will round out a D-Backs rotation that also includes Brandon Webb, Dan Haren, Doug Davis, Max Scherzer.

Now, if they could only score some runs.
