The New York Mets today placed lefthanded pitcher Billy Wagner on the 15-Day Disabled List, retroactive to August 3rd, with a strained left forearm and recalled righthanded pitcher Ruddy Lugo from New Orleans (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League. Lugo, 28, will wear #49 and will be available for tonight’s game vs. San Diego.
It looks like it will be Eddie Kunz turn to close in New York.
