Here are my predictions for the 2008 season:
In the Senior Circuit, the Mets, Cubs and Rockies will win their divisions and the D-backs will earn a wild card spot.
In the Junior Circuit, the BoSox, Tigers and Angels will be the division winners and the Yankees will grab the wild card.
The Rockies and BoSox will repeat their World Series appearances, with the BoSox again winning in 7 games.
Individual Honors:
NL MVP: Matt Holliday
NL Cy Young: Johan Santana
NL ROY: Jayson Nix
AL MVP: Manny Ramirez
AL Cy Young: Josh Beckett
AL ROY: Jacoby Ellsbury
Other fearless predictions:
No NL team will win over 100 games.
Barry Bonds will sign with a ML club by the end of April.
Howie Kendrick will compete for the AL batting title.
There will be at least three 20 game winners this season.
No player will hit at least 50 HRs.
MLB and MLBPA will agree on additional drug testing and ban additional substances.
A Japanese-born player will win an individual award or lead the league in major statistical category.
A player on KC, Tampa or Florida will take the place of an otherwise-deserving player in the All-Star Game.
It will seem like Buck Martinez is everywhere this baseball season.
Someone will actually have read this far and will believe that this isn't an April Fool's joke.
