with former Indians player Travis Fryman at the helm (njbaseball/flickr)

Thanks to the media relations department of the Cleveland Indians, we can present you the following audio clips:

Travis Fryman, on his new duties as Manager in Mahoning Valley

The former Tigers and Indians player will be managing the New York-Penn League club (Class A Short-Season) and says that he did not want to manage for the Tigers, that's where he wanted to be, in Ohio.

Cliff Lee on being named the #5 starter in the rotation

Lee wants to redeem himself after a shaky 2007 season and he'll also continue to throw his two-seam fastball and slider, pitches that distracted him from his strengths last season when he was trying to introduce them into his repertoire.
